I used to be smart. Now I feel so stupid. It really is embarrassing and frustrating. Most of the time I have to read out loud in order to comprehend anything I read, but the other day I was reading an article to my husband and suddenly my head started tingling and although I continued to read and could hear the words coming out of my mouth, I had no understanding of their meaning.

My biggest problem is getting the word I know (I can “see” it) to come out of my mouth. If I want to say “bench”, I can picture a bench, I know what it is, but coming up with the correct word for it is becoming much more difficult. I don’t think it has anything to do with age because there are other times when the word “bench” will flow freely. It can be extremely frustrating.

I was a teacher for 27 years and a new teacher director for 7 years. I have trouble spelling words and remembering the right word to use.

I have only had fibro for a few years. but i went to eye doc because i have constant pain in my right eye, also pain in my arms thought i was having heart trouble. has anyone else noticed that they have a problem writing their own name i swear my gets worse each time i try

I really liked this report. I’ve had Fibro for 30 years, and had to deal with this issue a lot. Some days are better than other days. It is embarrasing and exhausting. Thirty years ago my husband took me to about 5 doctors before we found one that didn’t infer I was faking and depressed or just crazy.
